I posted earlier about getting a strut tower brace for my car. So yesterday I wandered in to junkyard and found one off a cavy. I paid $20 for it. I was all excited to put it on. Only to find it doesn't fit. Throughout beretta website it's claimed that this brace will fit any beretta, but apparently it doesn't. If anyone can explain to me why it doesn't fit I would like to know.

O.K I'm going to ask a question. Did you take off your plastic firewall covers first?  mine didn't fit till I removed them then I cut 2 holes in mine (the covers)to accomidate my tower.

The bars off of 89 Cavys won't fit on Berettas. I think it has to be a 92 or later. The bolt holes are the wrong pattern in the earlier years.

Thanx for the info guys. I'll just modify the one I got and be done with it. Yes I took off the firewall cover and it still didn't fit.

I think it may have been a convertable only part.
Anyway the parts # is on BNet and it is cheap new from the dealer.

92-94 Cavalier Convertibles, Sunbird Converts and Z24's and Sunbird GT's.
Some Cavalier RS models were equipped with them as well. Depends on the suspension packaged that was ordered.
