New here, saying hi

I'm new to this forum site and wanted to say hi and fill you in on who I am.

My name is Mike (36), I'm married with 3 kids (17, 15, and 11) and work in an Aluminum extrusion plant as a Maintenance tech. My hobbies include NHRA, F1, NASCAR and WRC and PS3 with my son and friends, music and Car audio < big time. I collect Clarion, LANZAR and Phoenix Gold from the mid 90s. My musical tastes are wide but stay mostly in the heavy metal region. Killswitch Engage, PANTERA, Metallica and many others.

I currently drive a 2000 GMC Sierra Ext cab stepside Z71. My first car I bought with my own money was a '90 Chevy Beretta base model with a 3.1 5sp. In a few months I'm toying with the idea of getting as good a condition GTZ as I can. I want something good on gas, with some pep under the hood and to do an old school stereo install in.

I'll be around quit a bit, so I hope to hear from most of you. Any car audio questions, just ask.

I've found that a Beretta and a Z71 are a good pair! Welcome.

Hello.
Lanzar was great back then! Not these days though. I remember when you could trade a set of CV floor speakers for almost anything, even a car.

So, when I reply out says I have to wait for my post to be approved, how long/many posts do I have to have to just have my posts posted right away?

I've made many replies but I have to wait. To further say who I am, just google my user name. You'll find I'm very active on a lot of car audio forums.

I've done a bit of looking around for that, but the last week has been hectic at home and work. Hell, I'm even at work posting this right now. Now that you've made it easier for me by giving me the link I'll read it at next break.

It happens. Don't worry about it. They have the setup in place to keep out the spammers and its kinda annoying at first. But after you get many repeats of the same discussion, it can be a bit aggravating to some of us.. lol

Still, lots to find here, and many great members that are willing to help if they can. 3X00 is a mountain of good info and a good guy as well, so don't let him intimidate ya. :P

3X00 is sometimes kind of binary. It's 0 or 1 and if you try to throw in a 2 he gets a bit huffy and shuts down.

I wasn't offended at all. I consider my "home " to be the phoenix Phorum site and we don't tolerate near what other sites do. We're a pretty tight knit group. I'm not above ready the rules, just a time thing that's all. I've seen some of 3X00's replies in the manner like above, so I kinda knew how to take what he said. It's all good.

No body did that with me.....

On a serious note... I hope with the new board updates that link will get posted right on the signup page. It's already listed as an announcement in every forum section right at the top so I have no idea how to make it any more visible other than have all that info e-mailed to a new user upon registration or put the links on the signup page. And I'm actually thinking that including that info on the signup page will not be enough and it may have to be e-mailed upon registration.

I like the e-mail idea. We just got to hope they will read it.
