Notice the time of this post, I can't sleep, so I think, often somewhat muddled.

Most of us, well, at least some of us, like the idea of rear disc brakes. But who among us has $900 to spend on a kit from RSM? If I remember correctly, and I couldn't verify this because I couldn't find the post, the rear disc brakes from a Pontiac  6000 STE fit the Beretta, same bolt pattern, and it bolts right on. But how often in our junkyard prowls has anyone seen a 6000, let alone a STE? Couldn't you just purchase the brake parts from Advance or Auto Zone. Sure, you'd have to pay the core charge, but for $400 total it wouldn't be a bad deal.

Someone tell me I'm wrong, and that it's not that easy. Please.

There is quite a detailed thread that was circulating a while back on B'stuff.
The brackets are available, and it uses all GM stuff.
Do a search, and don't you dare buy anything from RSM!
You can get everything they sell cheaper elsewhere.
Hell, their shop is only 30 minutes from me and I wouldn't buy used bubblegum from that bunch.

I'm having two of my 95+ brackets laser cut next week for my corvette caliper setup using beretta rotors, this is similar to the thread on bstuff but I had to create my own bracket because the one designed woundn't fit the 95+ crowd.  I'll post some pics and stuff when I finish my setup.

Gotta get the car to move under its own power before I work on making it stop again...

3100-95 i'll deff be interested in the upgrade when your done... i'd rather stick with GM parts not only that the large rotors/calipers/pads are a major plus

I'm picking up my brackets tonight in Middletown... They ran me 50 bux to have lazer cut, I'm not sure if a bulk order would bring down the price or not, but I'll try to ask when I'm there. ÂÂÂ But I'll post pics and status of my swap, I may happen this weekend or next week.  There were a few little tweaks I had to do when doing this swap, and I'll try to post all the info.

all done. they look good, i checked it with my caliper when I got home and everything looked correct.

They should, maybe minor grinding on the lower holes towards the outside, if it doesn't clear the support, but it should

Custis Walker. Check out his site at www.turboz24.com. By the way, the 6000 has a 5x115 bolt pattern, not a 5x100.

I wrote the other How-To posted in this thread, and personally, I found it much easier than having to run around a find parts from rare cars, or pay tons of money for calipers and rotors off Corvettes and stuff. Is the stock Corvette rotor even the same diameter as a J/L/N body rotor? It seems to me that its bigger, and you're wasting alot of caliper with such a small rotor.

yeah I am probably wasting a bit of caliper using the 92 rotors, but untill I upgrade the front, the rears can't be larger... that just wouldn't work.  One step at a time here... I can easily increase the spacing of the holes on the bracket to fit a larger rotor later in it's lifetime if I want, but I'll get the whole thing working first.

I've found a Neon Sport with the rear discs, now it's just a matter of when can I pull them because I work from before the junkyard opens untill after it closes. Also, cahilj, how much did you leave out of the How To? There were some parts where you  just kinda jumped around or skipped something that seemed important.
