Too bad I didn't get those cams that had 130k on them. 1,000 bucks easy(lol).

i purchased an entire w41 engine with a 3.94fdr trans for a measly $400, only thing it didnt have was the idi cover, has the w41 cams, 086 head, and 4 valve relief pistons, only had 66,000 miles on the car.

I paid more than 200 for mine fully restored and the bidding was pretty strong.
They can go for quite a bit.

yeah, this one needs work, and i have access to a sand blaster with plastic beads designed specifically for sand blasting aluminum, a paint booth, and powder coating. (i used to work for a wheel collision place restoring aluminum wheels). so id just redo it myself. i still dont understand the big thrill about it saying "w41"

Rarity - That's all - What's funny is back 10-13 years ago these were reasonably plentiful and they only went for ~$100-125. It's crazy how rare anything Beretta or Quad4 related has become.

Well they are in fact pretty rare.
There was a guy on ebay a few years back that seemed to have an endless supply of the ruddy things and he was getting $200+ on a regular basis fully restored.
That is where I got mine.
Nowadays they can be difficult to find so I can understand the pricing even in unrestored condition

That price actually seems good. Ive seen guys over on jbody.org sell and buy those for 300+

The reason the price was $180 for that cover, Jeff S, from Q4 Forums was bidding the person up to make his prices look good. Guys a jerk. I still think its stupid people pay over $100 for these things. I got my last two, one for free and the other for $25 with coils and boots. Run the Quads without the covers and convert to external coils, THAT, is worth spending the money on, not wasting it for a beauty cover

Geoff, no offense at all but i remember you also had a W41 idi cover for sale for like $200 or so... So why talk about high price and stupid people are buying this.
I think they are getting hard to come by for alot of people because they are willing to pay that price for a nice one. If you find one for $20 or so then your lucky

IDI covers don't make a car faster. Seems like people think they do.
Why not put a 2.4 cover on a 2.3 and make people think you have a very powerfull 2.4? Pointless.

Doesnt have to do anything with that. Yeah, puttin a 2.4 twincam cover on a quad4 doesnt make sense, lol. But put on a W41 idi cover on a W41 engine or W41 cams swapped engine why not. I like them alot better than stock idi covers... its just a beauty thing and let everyone know there are W41 cams in their

When your doing a TGP engine swap or get the turbo components on your 3.1 then i guess you want the Turbo intake manifold too where it says "3.1 Intercooled Turbo" or not?

I was thinking about bidding, but ~$200/total for one just seemed tooooooo high.
It's just a matter of preference.
