So I noticed my baby was leaking what I believe to be power steering fluid from a line that looks out of place. Can anyone tell me what this line is for?? It is right under the pass side door near the fender.

PS cooler line. They always rust through & leak. Someone already cut out a rusted line and "fixed" it with rubber. I would fix it by bending a new hardline and using a compression fitting. As long as you can get a clean spot to connect to.

That whole cooler line is actually available new at AutoZone etc... When I got one, it was cheap enough to not bother bending a new line.

LOL

Yeah, easier to just buy the line premade and replace it entirely.

I found my replacement rust free in the local yard...uber easy to change.

Thanks for the help. Picked up the car today and the first thing I needed was a new battery (on the way home). Got it home and swapped sloppy steering column for good one and then Put my sparco wheel on the new column.
I was bringing it to my buddys house so tomorrow he could do the the brakes lines off the master to the rear and a new muffler since the old one is broken off at the pipe. Got to Napa and left it running, come outside and smell something burning :burn: my alternator seized and snapped my serpentine belt. Luckily I was already at the parts store and they a new alternator and belt in stock. Changed them in the parking lot and back on the way.
Noticed after driving for about 45 min my heat gauge has never risen above 1/4 way, is my gauge not working? Also no back-lights in the cluster but all indicators and blinkers work.

Hell of first day having my old car back.

1/4 gauge for the temp is typical. Don't let that concern ya.

The Autozone expert to the rescue! I wouldn't have guessed you could actually get a new one...
