Quad 4 question

Say I have a 94 or 95 quad in my car what do I have to do to get it to run in my 90 gtz, do I have to get all year specific electronic parts such as sensors and what not will it work being a newer motor kinda lost on this, I just wanna get it running temp till I sell my firebird and buy a high output, but need to know if its a must to change the sensors cause I know most of the plugs are way different than my 90 harness, but also my motor has a sensor in the oil pan is this a 94 or 95 not sure what years had this please let me know thanks

if you arent sure, the swap may not be for you, but i did it the other way(used a 90gtz h.o. in my 94 q4 z26), the coolent lines are different, including the water pump housing, thermastat housing, lower rad hose is different, upper may be the same, the belts are different, one is 5 ribbed and the other only 4 ribbed, not sure wich year is wich, so you'll have to use all of the same stuff from one or the other or buy a 4 ribbed belt and run it with the 5 ribbed and 4 ribbed pullys. as far as sensors, the mani's are different so use yours with every sensor thats attached, the 94 has a sensor in the oil pan for the low oil light, dont worry about it, everything else should be the same, crank sensor, 02, ect, but id use the 90 exhaust mani on it. otherwise, it should be a direct swap, you may or may not have to tap the holes in the block for the motor mounts on the 90 since 92+ is different mounting, but the holes should already be existent. flywheel is the same afaik, so yeah, it should be a pretty direct swap other then the cooling lines. oh, and you have to move the tstat to the head... almost forgot that.

also, when you do it, if you go out the top, take the trans out the top with it, otherwise your beating yourself to death trying to get it out and you'll beat yourself to death trying to get it in and the splines lined up.

well, i was there today, the motor is still there, cant gurantee it runs, but id guess it did, like i said, it had 220k on it, who knows if its origanal or not, but id does have the 086 head and it also has the ho intake and mani.

Hey how do you tell a low output intake from an HO, and I think I know what the HO exhaust but post a pic anyway so I can be sure please

simple, they are much smaller in design, look around on quad4forums.com, you will see. the ports and runners look smaller on the intakes, dead give away.

I think mines different because I know the throttle body won't even work with my throttle cable it stays half way open hooked up and shut unhooked
