I vote for a GTZ kit off a very rusted car. That way at least the kit would be saved.

I'm not big(lol, there is a good pun) on the the large side skirts of the GTU. Seems like a good way to slip when getting out of the car.

I guess I just like GTZ's, because I would say go with the GTZ wheels. I have found that late 90's Z24 wheels have much less weight than a Z26 wheel. But that is not a mean looking wheel. The GTZ wheel should have less weight than the Z26, but not by much.

GTU kit is beast.
Never really had any problems with rubbing against it getting in and out.
I'd go GTU/Indy if you can, might cost a good bit more than the GTZ/Z26 kit though, and it'll be harder to find one's in good shape, especially the front lip.
Either kit (GTZ/Z26 or GTU/Indy) are much better than the base model looks though, so either way it'll look great.

Screw factory GTZ/Z26/GTU/Indy GFX kits...
Go widebody or go home.

i wouldnt do a z kit you already have a gtz and your converted base need sutn different as everyone does a z kit with built.up motor might as well make a fast gtu or just a lowered base model and make it bad assery

If you stuck with the base body package and maybe flared the wheel wells a bit and fit some nice wheels that fit the wells nicely that'd be awesome. I'm picturing it slightly lowered and everything monochromatic (grill, lower door sills, lower bumper moldings, side moldings if you keep em) - The only things I'd leave black are the door handles, window trim and mirror triangles... oh, and the tails and fillers of course.
I'm picturing in my head.... What subtle mods would Chip Foose or Troy Trepanier make if they did one (yea, right, LOL)?

well im gonna do this.....im going with the black/silver gtz wheels that are on my red car, gtu body kit, euro headlights, z26 seats with interior having some black in it, tint, lower, and leave the eggcrate grill. i think a clean, lean, and mean look is what im trying to go for. the wide body thing would be neat to do with a gtu kit!
