trunk release?
Hello all!
New to the website, been around here looking a few times. I have a white beretta '95 Z26. The trunk release button isn't working, and I'm curious, is it possible a fuse is dead, could it be the wiring or the relay that it goes to? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Yep, a fuse could be dead. Not sure which one it is on your '95, but on the older cars it is Fuse 6. After the fuse, the most likely problem is wiring. The connector may have come out of the trunk release button or the wire providing positive power to the trunk release solenoid may have become detached. You should have constant power at the trunk release button, and should have power at the trunk release solenoid when the button is pressed. The trunk release relay needs to be grounded to operate, so autos must be in Park or Neutral and manuals must have the e-brake on to provide that ground. Hope that helps!

Thanks Jeff for the response! The trunk release stopped working suddently, so it probably is the fuse. I wonder if the fuse is only meant for the trunk, if not I can find out what's wrong by checking other functions of the fuse.
