GTUs and GTZs are the most sought after cars. Very rarely do they pop up for sale and they sell rather quickly when they do.

Just to give you and idea; I was lucky enough to score somethings under 1500, but I had to drive 10hrs one way for it and trailer it home. It was a prestine, rust free, fully driveable Z though and came with some rare goodies.

Don't be discouraged. They are out there, you may just have to wait a while for the right one to come by, or do some driving to get it. If you consider a Z-26, they look the same and are a little easier to find nowadays. I watched my GTU sit for sale for $400 for literally
months before I finally decided I couldn't stand not getting it and drove out (about two or three hours each way, but my house was way up in the mountains) to look it over, ready to tow it back with my Z-26, and found that with a new battery the car drove mostly fine -they came down in price enough to cover most of the battery cost too... But it also took me years to find a Yellow Indy I could afford that was worth buying and close enough to be practical, so when you are searching for the rarer specimens, patience will be your best friend. I don't think you are going to get much help here though, aside from maybe people pointing you in the direction of local craigslist ads. Most of the GTZ owners here will not part with their cars for the money you are looking to invest, but good luck, and like I said, they
are out there... I would love to get one too.

Check cars.com recently?
I check it all the time for fun, there are at least 20 Berettas up for sale now, including my INDY.

I know its not a GTZ, but its for sale if your still looking and want to check it out.
