I am having some kind of difficult on starting my car...most of the time

When my car sits over night, and its getting its first crank of the day..it starts up literally like a brand new car...but every one after that..its rough..it cranks, then bogs out..most of the time i have to push on the accelerator just to keep the car running?

I put new spark plugs/wires when i put the new 3400 (still has the upper/lower 3100 intake on), i have a red top battery, starter was replace probably 30k miles ago? the coil packs are old (could that be a problem?)...would i need a bigger alternator?(alternator is also new..made for the 3100) since i do have a bigger engine?

Alternator is no different, Coil packs could be malfunctioning when they get hot or the ICM. I doubt its the crank sensor since that probably came in the 3400 engine when you got it.

yeah ill probably get some aftermarket ones for the hell of it..and the ICM? (what does that stand for?)

Coolant Temp Sensor.

Use Factory Coils and Ignition Control Module. The colorful/name branded (MSD) coils are not as reliable as the OEM parts.

Yes, CTS = coolant temp sensor. When they go bad it is usually as an open circuit which reads cold. When the engine gets warm and the sensor still reads cold it runs like garbage.

quick and easy check is with a scan tool, you will see it at like -34* F or something like that.
