What have you tried? As of right now I'm leaning toward NAPA. Here is list of what I found on the major auto parts stores. I will check into some brands before I buy.

nApa, Percision, Cardone, EMPI and MP have been used. All pretty much the same, cardone had the best return policy.

Damn I miss the old days when there were more than just two companys making parts.

D: None of the above. I run OE from the junk-yard almost exclusively on my Berettas (because I am cheap), and most other cars too.

When I was piecing together the 6-speed parts for my GTU, I was going to go with e-bay special junk for the CVs, but the guy I was buying the intermediate shaft (jack-shaft) from talked me into buying a pair of used OE CVs from him -a little different since they source from the '06 Cobalt SS SuperCharged, but he was comparing shaft thickness on OE vs the repop crap, and it doesn't compare. I've never broken a CV half-shaft yet, the cheap reproduction units might have been my first though.

I have purchased Duralast (AutoZone's in-house better-quality brand) for other cars though, and aside from the joints running a little tight to begin with, they have tended to be good quality. I've used shafts from Checker (now O'Reillys), and I think Advanced (then Parts America and Western) with little or no problems. If you do go Cardone, it will be hit-and-miss with them as they are remanufactured units, and they will depend on the grade of the original part.

I'm with you, Money Pit, lack of options sucks. No variety and no competition means eventually bad prices and bad quality.
