I have that Car Craft somewhere. Man have you been busy. Sure wish I would have bought that Beretta drag car that was near me and the same color as the 90GT. I have a thing for all the race Berettas, any type.

I remember you going out to see because the owner was selling it I think. I wonder if it actually sold and where it's at now (probably in some ditch in a junkyard, left for dead, missing its bumper, door, and various interior pieces, jk).

Oh, I totally noticed those rims right off the bat. I actually asked the guy who owns this about that awhile back. He said it was the usually 5x115 swap up front with adapter plates made in the rear to accomodate the 5x115 pattern all around. I think he said that he had an alero IRS lying around but figured it wasn't worth the trouble and went this route instead. He still regularly races this car on the grassroots level too.

I doubt it... he wanted 10k for it, so he either still has it or someone bought it and it's sitting in a garage somewhere doing nothing.

Do you have contact info for him?

I wonder what engine is in that blue beretta with the crosslace wheels....

On his videos you can see a supercharger sticking out of the hood...

Supercharger looks to high for a L67, maybe its supercharged mcgavinz26 style!

Geoff swapping Grand Am IRS is not as bad as you would think on the 95-96 cars and doesn't look like its all that bad on 94 and older cars.

I don't think I would ever do it to my Z.. but a local guy has taken all the measurements and is doing his homework.

Dimensional-wise, its fits good under the rear (some triming/ grinding here and there will make it perfect!). The problem is the rear towers that have to be reworked to fit/ mount the struts properly. The n-body rear struts are tall, so I was thinking about finding smaller ones that can fit in there better since the beretta doesn't have the same tower height clearances as a j or n-body. That's just my 2 cents since an rear IRS is on a to be determined/wtf/need mo' money to make it happen list. Plus I need another car to even start it as my Beretta is my daily driver (My 1st world problems). It's totally do-able but we need trailblazer's to show me the way. Do keep me informed on that local guy as it can save me some time if he does it first please!

I will let you know if he makes any progress... When we cut up the red Z I had we cut it so he can mock up the GA IRS easily.

Great post, thanks for sharing. :good: A wonderful way to spend a few minutes, for us Beretta-infected types, at least...
