Sorry i tried searching (just read the tread ac 101 ) but curious how others are updating/converting the old r12 to r134?
Now that im driving the Beretta as a daily to work....its been hot here in Texas. So getting that A/C fixed is priority now.
The blower blows air strong but no cold air. So might just need a charge but i would like to convert.

I got the conversion done at the dealer on my 1991 beretta from texas
They need to put a new fitting on the low side of your ac system, it cost about $700 and has worked flawlessly

First things first you need to have the system evacuated if there is anything in it... This will also show you whats damaged and where it's leaking... That's where the added costs will come from. But for the conversion itself if the above is already done you can just buy this.

Also, for optimal performance you should consider changing to a R134a control valve...

A new Orifice tube (or VOV) wouldn't hurt either. (only applies for 87-90)
