Since there are several different approaches to rustproofing nowadays (oil spray, undercoating, electromagnetic), what do you guys think is the most effective, especially for a brand new vehicle? I've read online that you don't even need to rustproof new cars, but I question that theory. I tried to get the GTZ undercoated back before I got it oil sprayed, but they told me at the time they only did that to new cars. Just curious.

Here in the country of rust, the best working combination is to first spray everything with rust preventing stuff, inluding insides of the doors and rockers etc (does require drilling many holes).
Then add a layer of undercoat. And use mudflaps so the undercoat stays there allso

mudflaps is the key. Undercoat is a good idea also, esspecially where rocks/salt gets sent by the tires. Keep it clean, salt hanging out on/under your car is bad so wash it regularly. Oh, wax it, including the fender lips.
