hey all, are the driver and passenger seats interchangeable? Main reason is my pass seat is in way better condition than my driver seat as far as seat foam lol. just wondering if i could switch them without probs (except for the controls on the wrong side and all lol)

also what other gm cars use the same seat rails as us? which other cars have the same mounting for seats as us?

And just for kicks, if anyone wants to send me a free drivers seat in good condition, I'll take it any day!    Thanks guys!!!!!!!

no other models seats will just bolt in, only beretta seats.  If I remember right they are interchangable other than the difficulty in using the controls.  I would just fix your seat or get some nicer ones out of the yard.  You could also upgrade to some other seats with some minor modifications.

Nope tried it the other day actually. The rails are made in diff places so you can't switch them      Grrrrrrrrr.   I wound up just re doing my foam job on the seat and it feels much better now.

so the tracks cant be swapped from the driver seat to the passenger to make it fit?

no dude, like the u  shaped bar that holds the rails is about 2 to 3 inches to the left on the pass seat when installing it on the driver's side. Either that or the two white wheels on the sides of the seat are offset so that the rails don't allign

The foam is swappable but not the metal parts.

I mounted my passenger side seat in the drivers side before.  It sat at a strange angle, but it bolted in.

This somehow reminds me that I need to locate better foam for my GTZ seat on the driver's side.  217,000 miles will wear foam out, even if you are skinny.  Also- why again wouldn't your passenger seat fit?  It should (as Cliff noted he did it).  Also, I know by me you can get a seat out of the yard for $25 or less...  worthwhile if this is your daily driver and your back starts to hurt or something...

ooo $25 ?!?!?!?! i haven't found any in good condition in yards near me lol.
