Can anyone tell me where the vacuum line is supposed to go that comes off of the left side of the intake plenum?

If you're talking '87-93 2.8/3.1L V6 and you mean the left side as you're facing the engine bay (I'm assuming a lot here), the vacuum line heads under the coolant reservoir to the charcoal canister.  If you're talking a '96 car (guessing by your screenname) or any other year/engine, I haven't the slightest.

Well its actually the 1994 Base Beretta with the 3.1 V6. I guess it goes to a canister under the battery?

((((( if by left you mean side closest to the front of the engine bay, if looking at the engine from the front of car to the left of the plenum would be the power steering pump, just to be on the same page))))) i also have a 94 3x00 v6

anyway to answer your ? it goes from the intake plenum to the vacumm modulator on the front of the tranny from there it goes to the round canister(i forget what its called"purge canister"maybe) from there it goes under the battery tray up the fender and splits in two,one goes to the cruise control unit monted on the firewall and the other goes through the firewall into the dash, which im assuming goes to the heater controls

Yeah, I need the one for the heating controls. I lost all control over them. They just like to shoot out of the vents and not change to the defrosters or floor. So I need to find the vacuum line to control the mode doors.

The one for the heater controls goes all the way around the drivers side of the car to just under the battery.

The line on the front of the engine leads down towards the vacuum modulator on the trans.  That line has a tee fitting in it and splices into a vacuum reservoir and the line for the HVAC controls.  The HVAC control line then follows the perimeter of the engine bay and goes inside the wiring harness into the cabin on the passenger side bulkhead.

Alright, thank you. I'll have a look at this when I get out of school. Had to drive without my fan belt hooked up this morning. Something strange happened with that. I had to drive without my fan belt hooked up today. It was around everything just right but it was loose, like the belt tensioner wasn't doing it's job.

I wouldn't do that with a V-6.  You won't have an engine for very long.

That Vacuum line that is capped does it serve a purpose to any other part of the engine or pumps?

I've never seen that vacuum port used on any 3100 or 3400 from the factory.
