ever had the problem of the pumps sump fall out while the pump is pumping.    ÃƒÆ’ƒÆ’ƒâ€šÃ‚ anyways what did you do to fix it?

I had that problem with a small block engine that I had in my 55 Chevy Belair. I've seen them fixed a couple of ways....one was to braze the pickup tube where it presses into the pump.I've also seen them staked into place so they won't fall out. Usually they are a pretty tight press-fit.

well i fixed it i drilled and threaded holes into the housing and put set screws in and i loctited it too i dont think it will go anywhere now.
