Hey All,
Now that I've finally found a GTZ with the options I want, I am ready to sell the Z26 that I picked up a few months ago. Here are the specs:
VIN: 1G1LW15A3RY251850
Year: 1994 Beretta Z26
Engine: Quad 4 w/ 146k miles
Trans: 5 Speed Manual
Unique: 1 of 896 Beretta's made in 1994 with the Quad 4 / 5 spd combo.
Asking price: $2200 o.b.o.
For those of you who don't know the story, shortly after Bfest I got the itch to have a Beretta again. I starting looking around for a good GTZ and I happened across this guy in Iowa right down the street from KFLO. He checked it out for me and I bought it the next day. Styluss was kind enough to drive it out to Colorado for me, however after driving it around a bit, I realized that it wasn't really the car I wanted. I had too many memories of my old GTZ and I really wanted to find another one like it (which, 6 months later, I finally did).
Anyhow, this car is a pretty solid unit but it does need some TLC. It's originally from Iowa so it's pretty rust free and while the paint is pretty good, it does have some peeling clearcoat and some overspray from where one of the fenders was painted. It also has an oil leak from the rear cam tower cover where whoever did a headgasket last decided that using RTV would be a good idea instead of buying a gasket. When it was driven out from Iowa, it went through 1 quart every 500-600 miles, so it's very drivable, however I will fix the leak with new gaskets if my asking price is met. Interior wise, it's very clean and in good shape. There is a dash bubble, the headliner is starting to sag, and the drivers seat foam is a little squished, but overall it's pretty nice and clean.
Since I've owned it the last 3 months, I've done the following work:
Replaced hood with perfect unit off my 71k Aqua Z26 that I sold (there was some hood damage from where they rear ended someone - likely why the fender was replaced).
Replaced headlight adjuster brackets
Replaced header panel and most screws, brackets and bolts
Replaced front wheel (idiot before me painted it black, so it was replaced with a very nice stock one)
Replaced Alternator with lifetime warranty unit.
Now, I do have a total of around $2700 into the car when I add up all my expenses on it, however I am motivated to sell it since I just spent all my money on my new GTZ. I am asking $2200obo, however I will consider just about any reasonable offer (especially if you don't want me to fix the oil leak and can come get it fast). Once a deal is agreed upon, I will ask for a $100 deposit as a show of good faith via Paypal or MO/Cash. The rest will be due upon pickup.
I'm going to throw up some pics I have of the car - please let me know if you want to look at any part of the car specifically or want to do a FaceTime walkaround of it!
