The Borla ProXS mufler finally arived. Now to pick a Tip.
Have 2 in mind.
Both from Summit Racing.
1st: Toucan Oval shapped stainless steel.
2nd: Hooker Dual round with a slash cut. stainless steel. Keeps getting B/O'd. Now Est. 11/3 ship date.
The muffler has an Offset Inlet and Center Outlet. 2 1/4" both ends. And a smaller body than the stock unit. Which brings me to the next Question.
What Hanger (Strap) are you using? The stock wont work. The body of the Borla is considerably smaller. Thinking maybe one from a Sunbird/Cavalier might work.
Thanks All.
Chris

you can use a universal hanger or two. thats what I did. I dont think any other factory unit will work unless you weld brackets on the muffler.

I guess I'll leave the Hanger problem to the shop.
The Hooker dual outlet tip weighs about 2.8Lbs. Wonder if this is going to be too heavy???
I could always get the Borla XS tip. Somewhat oval. More like a square with rounded corners.
What to use???

You can look around on my site if you want (link below the sig)... I have the Borla Dual Round slash-angled intercooled tips... I think they fit the *** end quite nicely.
Woodyz has them (my old ones actually), and I know Ribz does too... not sure who else has them.

Yes, I have had Borla tips in some form since 97. The first time was singular Square angle tips x2 on the stock muffler. And I have the same tips Woody has since 2001. They do fit very well visually and still clean up as new to this day.

I had a Borla Dual outlet with Intercooler on my Escape. Thing must have weighed about 5 lbs. Stretched the rear rubber donut.
The Hooker only runs about $46 at Summit. But keeps getting B\O'd
