Thoughts / Experience with LED 194 drop-ins for Cluster?

So, I've noticed in my 92 Z that the cluster is REALLY poorly backlit, so I was toying with the idea of replacing the 194 bulbs with the cheapy LED units off of Ebay. Anyone have any experience with this and have any thoughts? (or pics!). I'd prolly just go standard bright white - I just want to see them better

I also would like to know about this since I would like a long-term solution to blue backlighting instead of the normal white

I'd like to know as well.
I swapped over to LEDs in my SRT4 and it made a world of difference. I ordered mine from
http://www.oznium.com and was very pleased. I had one bulb that was DOA and they replaced it fast and free.

I tried several different models and they all look like crap, uneven brightness

That's what I figured would happen Weba, the clusters in ours are a little more spread out than in the newer cars, and not quite as up to date.
If you want them brighter though, run 168 or 2825 bulbs. These are what I use in all locations where 194's are called for. You can get 168's in bulk "commercial boxes" of ten bulbs at your local AutoZone though. They're cheap, but only commercial stores carry them.

I've used the 5-LED versions in my 2500HD Silverado, but they aren't as bright as I would like. They still give a decent light and colour though, so I'm happy. They also look great as license plate bulbs too in my truck, complementing my LED tails.
Here is a style of bulb identical to what I used:

Factory dash with multi angle leds, it's not horrible.
Granted I'm going to attempt the hybrid factory skin over a elglow background soon.

I contacted Speedhut a while ago about doing a White EL color instead of the blue/green color option they have. They said it could be done but in a group buy of like 80 units or something like that. I'd have to go back through my emails to get the exact number.

We could muster up about 8... LOL
Right on the product it says "If you want to customize the dials give us a call... 801-221-1460 (10am - 5pm MST)."
Too bad that apparently doesn't apply to color.

I did the 194 LED swap in my truck and Camaro. Planning to do it with the Beretta too.
Here's an old pic of the Camaro. And it looks more even in person. I thought I had one of the truck but I don't. Looks a lot like Jon's. Not perfect, but mucho better than incandescent. This pic really shows that...
