Hey guys,

Some have asked for photo's of my 96 Z26! I only have a few photo's of the car. I have put a link to my MySpace that has photo's of the car (under MyToy's). It's a clean car in side a out! The only mods I have had the time to put on the car at the time is the Sony head unit, Sony 10 disc changer, and the 6X9 & 4X6 Infinity Kappa speakers....my job has me travel a lot. Also, new intake gasket and a dash vent that was broke ( Thanks Money pit ) for the vent! Hope to have all the other mods on SOON...and will add photos

Man, I got to say you look nothing like I thought you would. I thought I was talking to a kid, not someone that looks hard core. That car of yours looks almost too clean! Gald to help on the vents, looks as if that was the only thing that needed work. I would love to have Kappa's(I'm stuck with some old Vega 6X9's). Hey, I go to the Raytheon site sometimes to look around(love their work). Is there anything on there that you have done so I can look for it?

Nice Dodge's (I'm a dodge fan)  I LOOOOVE that Dakota.  My personal favorite body style.

That's a nice Z26 you've got as well.  The only down fall is the red interior.  I was going to buy a 96 Z26 once and the ONLY reason I didn't buy it was the red interior.  Seems GM liked to put red interior in the white and black ones just as much as the red ones.  That's why I'm glad mine has BLUE.  I

Your not the first to think that LOL!

Yeah, for the most part the car is clean... after I got done cleaning it up real good. It looks good in the photos but, dose need paint.  As for Raytheon, I work for a sub city of Raytheon (Raytheon Solipspy)  I work in the MCPS group. MCPS is for Modular Command Post Systems (MCPS) are self-contained, highly mobile, modular, and extensible systems that can be tailored to meet a wide variety of general and special purpose applications. MCPS are comprised of hardware and software components that can be assembled to create a family of systems that meet a wide range of military and civilian applications.

Must have been another one! I got this car off the guy that cuts my lawn. I told him I have always liked it and when he told me he was going to selling it....it was a done deal

Thanks for the comments on the Dakota! Yeah, I was not all that with the red interior at first but, it's growing on me.

I think that I have heard of the MCPS. I thought I saw it used for a UAV scout team. I check out anything that has video(so I can see how and why things work). Getting kinda off topic there and I don't want a lock on this. The paint on your car looked good to me. Just FYI, both of the Beretta's I've had have needed some paint(my 90GT had lost 50% of it's paint and that's why yours looked so good to me). Did I miss the photo's of the GS? Always wanted one, but more like a 72 stage3. We had a base 72 Skylark when I was a kid. The 66 is ultra rare, good to hear it's still on the road!

Wicked,

ÂÂÂ Hats off to you....how did you know? ÂÂÂ Your the first person to pick up on that. No one has never guess it was any thing but, a NOS bottle! I was at the car wash the other day and a off duty cop came up to me and said ( you know you can't have that hooked up) I told him it was a sub and he said , don't BS me I race cars and run N2O. Well, when I showed him it was a sub all he could say was No S**T! ÂÂÂ LOL!   Oh, I put the sub in!

Mitch,

You did not miss them. I don't have any photos of the GS on  there...I'll have to get some up.  The Z was not clean at all when I got it. The motor was dirty as hell. I used my good old engine cleaner to clean it up...a spray bottle with 1/2 Mr. Clean and  1/2 water, works great. As for the paint, it has 3 days of wet sanding a waxing to get the shine it's got. Over all it's not to bad, and has a few chips in it here and there but, would look real nice with some fresh paint...maybe come spring.

Thanks!  Yeah going to paint it the same color but, going with Black/Silver Z26 decales....got them from MRZ.

Yeap, a N2O sub woofer. It's made by Bazooka, 8" ported sub tube. I'm running a Rockford 200 watt amp....sounds good! You can run up to 300 watts to it.

Did you have to run new speaker wires? The sound only comes out of two of my speakers(one front and one rear). I have a Pioneer head unit, so that's not it. I like that tube! I think that the new decales will look much better than the pink ones. Are you going to do a respray or go all the way down to the metal?

ÂÂÂ ÂÂÂ No, I did not run any new wires for the speakers. I used the stock wire harness in the car.I just got a wire adapter harness to go from the stock wire harness to the Sony head unit...that way I did not have to cut anything. ÂÂÂ Qusetion, did  all your speaker  work before you put in the new head unit?

The bass tube is cool, found it on Ebay  for $50

Yeah, I think the black Z26 decals are going to give it a nice look with the stock black tirm, blacked out tails, and looking to add black rims.

As for the paint, the car has no bad spots....as for rust, dents, ect. So I'm looking to just do a repaint but, I do plan on taking the car apart....remove all trim, lights, grill, bumbers, gas door, ect  when the car gets painted.

Not as much as I would like too. My job has me on the road a lot and every thing else in live LOL!  The Benz has not seen the track in 5 years. It has a AMG 5.5 in it with a set of Buramus heads, Buramus custom cams, tune, and AMG exhuast....the car will run 12.5-12.3 all day! The GS is for the  most part  stock with a little work on the rebuild....13.9-13.8 I could not tell you the last time it has see the track LOL! The Ram and Dakota are the toys of the day. The Ram runs good for a 5,600lb truck 14.3's n/a and has seen a 13.9 n/a on a 100 shot of N2O 12.9's HEMI POWER! The Dakota, LOL! it has a killer 15 second 3.9V6 LOL!LOL! I'm in the works of putting in a late model 5.7 Hemi bord and stroked out to 426cu. Oh, and then there is the Beretta.... LOL!LOL!

But I have been to the track alot the past 8 weeks. I've been R&D testing a new TB for Moden Muscle...a performance company for  late model Hemi's

A scuff and shoot? That will work man, going all the way down to the metal would cost too much and it sounds like you don't need to. On the speakers I'm not sure(it was like that when I bought it). I just got this car in late spring and mostly have been fixing other more needed things. I'll see what I can come up with to fix the speakers, thanks for the info, it does help.
