WTB: Corsica preferably a hatchback
WTB: Corsica preferably a hatchback
I know they are few and far between, but ideally I'm looking for a Corsica hatchback in the north east region. I'm in central NY, but am willing to travel a bit for a decent car.
I am open to regular Corsica models as well, but would like to avoid the 4 cylinder models unless it's a great deal. This is not going to be a show car, in fact it's going to be a winter car for my wife and myself so a solid body is not mandatory, but preferred. I'm not afraid to do work to the car either, so if the car needs an engine or trans it would be a benefit for me. Our current cavalier coupe winter rat is on it's last leg (293,000mi)
and we find it difficult to use with a car seat in the back of a coupe. So, if you have a well used Corsica for a great price, let me know via PM

Re: WTB: Corsica preferably a hatchback
i have not seen any in my area for 5-6 years! would love to own
Re: WTB: Corsica preferably a hatchback
Corsicas used to be EVERYWHERE! Now they are gone. The hatchbacks are even more difficult to find.
Re: WTB: Corsica preferably a hatchback
I haven't seen a single HB in my entire life, that I know of, but I still see 2-3 Corsica's on a daily basis....
But I live in Labrador, which might as well be a living time-capsule for GM and Ford cars from the 80's and 90's.

Re: WTB: Corsica preferably a hatchback
There were a few around here, I thought they were really unique, so most people will think it's ugly. I always wondered if I could make a hatchback Beretta out of one...
Re: WTB: Corsica preferably a hatchback
2 hb corsicas roam around here in michigan. ones a ghetto trap rust bucket, the other is a two tone one in decent shape.

I rode in a hatch a couple of days ago, w00t w00t! =P

You have thoughts along the same lines of mine. I wondered why GM never made that an option? I was looking for a Corsy HB too, would still like to get one but don't have the room or money for one, and can't find them anyway. There was one on CL a year or so ago, but they guy wouldn't respond to me, IIRC. They quit making the HB in the early '90s, so they are indeed a rare creature. The lines on them are a vast improvement to the sedan Corsy. Good luck tracking one down, I hope you can get a good one.AutoX88GT wrote:I always wondered if I could make a hatchback Beretta out of one...

Re: WTB: Corsica preferably a hatchback
Thanks! I figured that if I got bored I could use some of my spare beretta parts to make a 4-door Beretta hatchback out of a Cosica HB... Now the gears in my head are turning even more... I could always use that spare 5 speed and that LX9 I saw in the yard, along with some of the Z-51 crap sitting in the shed and have a pretty stout grocery getter!Rettax3 wrote:The lines on them are a vast improvement to the sedan Corsy. ...but then I wouldn't use my 3800 powered celebrity wagon...
...that I am still working on...
I guess all I need is a Corsica. Preferably a hatchback...
