How do you tell what engine model cluster you have?? when i was doing my dash swap i came into a problem with my speedo going up to 90-120 mph while only doing 40 and my tach would never go past 2500k

EDIT: took a picture of the top, it does say 4-cyl, but is there still anyway if its made for a GTZ (91-93)

also for those who did the dash swap. Do u know if there was a sensor you had to change??

thats for sure a 2.3L cluster. What ecu/memcal do you have in the car?

Its all OEM, only doing a dash swap. No motor upgrades or anything.

You must have a changed computer or the speed sensor is not correct. Somethings not factory to the car to have the speedo and rpm off like you mentioned.

You use the 'new' dash wiring harness?

The best way to tell if you have a GTZ cluster is the redline. The GTZ cluster should have 6750 reline on the tack, while the V6 and 2.2 have a 6000.

It will also say "Premium Fuel Recommended"

yepp mine does say the Premium fuel recommended. I thought i read someplace that you need to replace ur speed sensor with the dash swap. but i can't seem to find it in the thread. not to mention a lot of info seemed to get corrupted.

The VSS will control the speedo and would explain it being off, but the tach is run right off the IDI if I recall. Most people have issues with the speedo being off, but the tach is OK. You may have more than one problem (or a ground issue?) if they both don't work.
