It starts but almost wont. When is running it hesitates like it wants to stall but will keep going. Car is pretty new to me, haven’t had it long enough to “get to know it.” Only driven it a handful of times so far, hasn't stalled or shut off yet but sure seems like it wants to.

Spark plugs, wires, oil, intake, have all been done in the last 1000
Engine is v6 3.1

Person I got it from said it needs a fuel pump, but when turning it on it can be heard clear as day, so how is this a pump problem? Wouldn’t that mean filter or injectors? Is there anything else that could be causing this aside from fuel issues?

I would just like to have a better idea of whats going on with it before I bring it in to get fixed, try and keep cost down.

Well change the fuel filter first. It likely hasn't been done in forever.
That may solve it.

If doesn't solve it, check the fuel pressure. You can borrow a gauge from most parts stores.

Thanks, changed the filter, the fuel poured out black. Drove it around for almost an hour, and it runs perfect!!!!! Super happy!
Would it be wise to change the pump after seeing the dirty fuel from the filter or just let it be?

The stock fuel pumps are notoriously reliable.

My 3500 swap car ran mid 13's on a stock 17 year old original fuel pump.

Everyone wants to over-build everything. GM was very good at things like fuel systems and ignitions.
