Well I may have caused damage to my 3400 swapped cars transmission, had a LOT of fun doing it, and have much less tire tread. The speedometer started acting a little strange, will jump up and down when driving above 60 or so. Thought about a VSS but my last Beretta this happened to the transmission was on the way out, this one has over 80,000km of abuse on it (about 250k on it). Not to mention the stresses of having the incorrect engine mount and chewing up about 10 sets of axles.
So with plans of installing a chemical supercharger on the 3400, I need to be sure the transmission is in good shape. So a friend of mine had a drive train from a 1990 Beretta GT 5 speed sitting in a field for about the last 10 years. Transmission was still filled with oil at proper point on dip stick! Anyways did a few searches for the rebuild kits and have found old links (edited for 3x00-modifed) I searched THIS website for information.
I will be sending this to the local Chevrolet dealership for the rebuild but need to find parts as everything is discontinued. Wondering if anyone has rebuilt them what kits they have used and what components need to be replaced?

Well after getting this news from Woody, I called the manufacturer that AutoZone got the parts from, they have not made this kit since 2001
Sorry, at least one of the special order items in your cart is no longer available. The item is highlighted below. Please remove the item or adjust the quantity before proceeding to checkout.
For Your 1991 Chevrolet Beretta 3.1L MFI OHV 6cyl
ATC Pro King/Manual Transmission Rebuild Kit
Part Number: BK234
Application: HM282, MR10 Muncie Transmission.
Notes: Without synchros

Sorry, the requested quantity for this special order item is not available. Please adjust the quantity.
Also looked up this part number from 3X00-Modified, I am told that is not the right bearing
GM/ACDELCO AUTO PARTS 14082039 COVER DETENT HOLDER 0.1 11
After consulting the dealer I believe the correct part number is 14092066
found this on ebay:
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Motorcraft-GE49- ... 2d&vxp=mtr
says its for a beretta but not the same year the part number is listed however.
What are the options for an interchange? or is vintage parts the only option

This product is manufactured by Timken and provides a compatible interchange with the GM 14092066.

Also showing the kit might be still available at Advance auto parts? Another store we don't have in Canada
http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/pro- ... 20150053-P
seems to be the same kit that was available at autozone
