91+ Dash swap with 88 digi cluster (update)**Installed!!!!!
So I picked up a complete 94 interior from a base beretta paid 200 for all, everything except the carpet. The car was a single owner lady and yes the dash is MINT!! well as mint as it gets for a 20 year old car, there is a few ends that need gluing as u will see. So anyway I read a lot of s&*t about not doing the swap if you have a digital dash (which I do) and also the heater controls will not work as they should. Here is my plan.....to cut out (with a dremel) bother inner housings for the clusters and fiberglass the 88 housing onto the 94 dash then build some trim around it for the holes due to the clusters being different shapes. As of now I have the 88 cluster just sitting in and the shape is not far off but the mounting holes are. Any feed back of pointers would be helpful.
My other plan is to relocate my heater contols and use my 88 ones so they work as should, this is so I could go to a double din touch screen. Im not sure I want to go this route due to the work involved but I'm not sure what I want to do with this dash.... feedback would be good..
I have some questions.
I acquired the whole steering column also with the key. Am I able to wire it up?? I'm assuming it will bolt up but I was more concerned about the wiring.
Also what is the black box on the 94 dash that is taped to the bottom of the dash under the hvac controls?
Is the 88 an 94 fuse box the same size and mounts?
Here is the new dash stripped down.

Got my old dash out and started to remove the inner housing the clusters have a similar angle on the face which is good. I'll post pics after I remove the backing from the 94 dash

I swear this cluster swap has been done previously back in the Beretta Stuff Days.
I just forget who did it!
Ended up working out just fine, although they had additional door panel issues with the dash width.
Looks neat though.

Are you referring to 88 door panels with the newer dash?
I have one 94 passenger panel so far the drivers one was destroyed so I left it.

You may do well trying to find a drivers door panel.
There was an issue as I recall, but it was years ago.

could you document the wiring changes that will need to be made for headlights and wipers? I do remember this on the old site this would be great information.
1988-90 door panels will fit all with a 91+ dash
the problem was taking the newer 91+ door panels and putting them on a 1988-90 car the doors will not close

With the 1988-1990 dash and 91+ door panels will not fit.
91+ dash and 1988-1990 door panels will fit
So doing the 91+ dash swap, you can run any door panel you can find. I have a set of 1996 red z26 panels in ok shape if you have a hard time finding some. Send me a PM if interested.
