It can't be that hard to do, although I don't know how to do it.

I'm sure any qualified glass installation outfit can tell you how to do it. There may well be a special tool required.

They managed to get mine off and back on without any damage at all. (Which BTW is really the ONLY way to paint a car properly!)

I looked in the 1990 service manual but found nothing about removing the trim.
If nobody replies how to do it.
Maybe you can find a Beretta in the junk yard and practice on it to see how it comes out.

There are clips that hold the trim in place. The goop that adheres the window in sometimes covers those clips making it harder to remove to reuse the trim. Best of luck.

I'm going next Saturday to have a go on a 96 Z26 car the guy is scrapping (I would love to buy it and drop a 3400 into it but have no where to put it),my trim is a little beat up so between this car and mine I should be ok for clips. I just thought someone might know.

Your lucky it's an older model... the newer cars the trim was part of the window piece so you have to remove all of it to get them out... the reason why mine were not removed when the car was painted.
