Hello!! newbie here!!My name is Shannon. I love this site! I recently got a 1996 Beretta Z26 cayenne red, off of Ebay. My beloved 2002 Cavalier got totaled by a ford truck (oh the irony) R.I.P. I was looking everywere for a car came across this beauty, no hesitation, bought! Hubby drove to Minnasota from Alabama to tow back. I have so far put about $3500 into her. I use to own a 1994 base model Beretta in black rose metallic brand new from dealer. Thats another long story (loved that car). And I have always had a soft spot for the Beretta. I also own a 1990 yellow pace car Beretta. Restore project. Shes a little beat up. But one day......Anyways wanted to say hi and looking forward to meeting some Beretta friends!!! ÂÂÂ

I had read on another board about waxing with a clay bar?? Not to sound stupid, but what is it and how does ot work?? I have seen them on the shelf in stores but never bothhered with them. The cars the members used the bar on where nice and shiny. I was just wondering the pros and cons. Thanks for the help!!

A clay bar removes everything from the paint including the wax.  It will remove all the build up to make a nice smooth surface to put wax down on top of.

Claybars are basically a special clay that you rub on the surface of your paint. It helps remove overspray, tree sap, bug guts, basically anything that washing doesn't take care of.

It will remove any wax that is on the paint as well, so you will need to wax it after using it on your paint.

What I usually do is claybar, polish, then wax. Great results every time.
