This is my family mobile its an 01 Honda odyssey, its great for long trips with the fam. My bro says I have a problem with fixing up cars. It seems anything I drive I have to modify lol. I know its a van and most people say "why" but its kinda my habit I don't drive stock never have never will!

Here is what I have done so far.

All dash lights and gauges are blue led
All interior plus plate light led (white)
Full leather swap, doors and seats
Rear disc conversion (just have to install it)
JVC double din screen with nav, hands free and reverse camera
Alpine mids and tweets
12" infinity sub in ported box
Alpine digital amp 500 watt
Custom cold air intake from a 01 v6 accord
2003 odyssey grill plati dipped black
All logos blacked out
Blacked out headlights
18" rims

I'm currently modding an 02 rsx lip on it I had to extend it 4 inches but other than that it all lines up

I have the same problem -with me it is usually engine/transmission performance related, but yeah, similar illness!

That chin spoiler fits a lot better than I would have guessed -it looks like it will be a perfect fit when you are done. Nice rims, too. I had blue LEDs in my '90 Turbo 'Retta's instruments before I went to the Cutlass Supreme digital cluster, and they almost caused a night-blindness effect for me. One of our '00 Toyotas also has blue LEDs that I put into it, and same thing -kind of blinding at night (but the Toyota doesn't dim down very well).

I am waiting for the typical tranny failure in my Plymouth van (over 200k miles though!), then it will get a manual tranny. Chrysler does have a six-speed from the Neon SRT that supposedly bolts onto my V-6, then it is customized CVs, but too much $$ for that tranny. I have debated on a GM 3800 SC (like my GTU has) with a Muncie 284, but CVs would become a challenge adapting them to the Mopar hubs. I get the same thing though -"It is a van, why bother?" Because it is a good vehicle, fits a purpose that my other cars don't, and I have to drive it! I should enjoy the drive... Don't let people put you down on it just because they don't get it.

Those Odysseys have power to spare from that V-6. The only issue is the timing belt is a PITA to change-out (I've done a few of them). But I am starting to think that Hondas are now the best-made vehicles being produced, surpassing Toyota, with their new 'lean manufacturing' corner-cutting. Nice van, take care of it and it should last you for as long as you want it.

I'm pretty sure the tranny just crapped out. A rebuild was put in by previous owner 5 years (65 xxxkm) ago. I was stranded on the side of a main road (with wife and 2 kids 4yrs and 6 months) for over 2 hours waiting for BCAA to show up. It throws a code for torque converter solenoid any time I'm on the highway going over 120km but today it started slipping and revving up and then grabbing. Then I come to a light and try to go and it would barely move then it jumps and grabs, I had no where to pull over for like 2km finally I found a pull out. So far 60 dollar tow bill and counting......

Dumb question, but did you check the fluid?

First thing I did also I pulled all the solenoids and cleaned the screens and housings.

Got the trans fully rebuilt and upgraded with heavy duty clutch discs and then canned some 22's on it lol

22s - Why?

Why not..... cuz I have a problem lol I can't leave anything stock. I basically got them for 10 bucks sold my old ones for what I paid for these. Not everyone's style or look but I like it the stock rims look too small so did the 18s.

All that chrome and on a minivan just kills me. Just doesn't fit at all. Sorry not my taste.

Who really cares?

Looks different and as stated, it's just a family hauler.

The biggest negative about 22s is you hit a pothole and the rim gets bent.
Then you gotta shell out big bucks for a matching rim.

I have 30 series tires on my Beretta hit many potholes and have no bends at all. Just have to make sure air pressure is always good. I know its a "van" but as you can tell I like my vehicle's to be different, around here you cant drive for 3 mins without seeing a 2nd gen Odyssey but you can drive forever and might not see one on 22's. I'm not done either I'm still finishing my front lip and plan on side skirts and rear lip.

Needs air ride - cut out the wheel wells and lay frame...
