What is an average cost for a Z26?

Hello, and a quick intro since I am a newbie.

I ordered a 95 Beretta Z26 in cayenne new and sold a few years after and am looking for a replacement.

The thing is my Wife wants one even more than me. I have looked and prices are as low as a few hundred for a roached car or it has a blown motor\transmission needing rebuilt. The other side are cars for 5K and that isn't in our budget.

So if the car has normal wear and everything mechanical is good what is the going price?

In general these posts suck, but prices are so all over the place I just don't know what is a good deal.

Depends on what you’re looking for.

Rust free? Well maintained? Clean body/paint?

Typically clean cars go for around $2-3k.

You didn’t happen to live in Michigan when you ordered yours did you?

I have been in Southern Ohio my entire life.

Just a typical clean car,we don't want a low mile mint one.

Three Grand?
When can I pick yours up, Geoff?
There is an interesting change going on in that these cars are finally commanding a bit of money, here and there.
I have a California Original '91 GTZ, Quad 4, 73,000 miles and have had a couple of pretty interesting offers on it.
I'm talking the up side of 7K!
When was the last time you actually saw one in decent condition?
The "average" high mile example in reasonable condition, Geoff is right.
But in exceptional condition, the market is coming around.

Welcome to the site! Fair price is highly subjective. Price (and value) also varies largely by region, and some places have more rust issues than others. A few years ago, these cars had dropped in value to next to nothing. They are now polarizing in price, so yeah, a nice example is finally priced at what it is worth, but there are still some bargains to be had, especially if you compromise a bit. Recently, I picked up a second Z for $400 with severe rod-knock, but really clean otherwise and just over 105k miles, no rust found yet...

What does it cost to have a 3100 dropped in? (Or something else...)
Good luck with the search, looking forward to seeing what you get! :good:

I live in Ohio so rust is common but it seams most have other issues before rust.

We are interested in a driver, not so much a mint example and the 2 to 3K price seems fair for an average Z26.

Sold my daughter's Z26 a little over a year ago. All things were in good working condition, it had good tires too.
Some rust through visible, interior excellent. Over 200k on the odometer but engine and trans had 175k on them.
I asked $1500, after a couple months, got an offer of $1200 so I took it. The last time I searched, the car is still registered,
so it's still out there. I recently saw a really rough, rusty one with a $600 ask on Craigslist.

I had to ask because my car was bought from the original owner, is a 95, and is Cayenne Red Metallic... :)
