Agreed. I'm still hung-up on the '90, because of the older-style interior, the fact that '90 was the first year for them, and heck, three of my 'Rettas are '90 models anyway. I have pretty much decided that my 'old' '95 Z-26 will be 'cloned'ish into a GTZ. I will not bother swapping out the FE3 suspension for the GTZ's FE7, but decals would be nice, and I do have a few sets of door-panel emblems (heck, I have a nice pair of '92 GTZ doors, for that matter!). Also on the list is a five-speed conversion and of course a Quad Four H.O. (or W41, if I can find another one -I ran across one on ebay about six years ago, but didn't have budget/storage space for it :fool: ) or at least a good Quad that I can build up (I have a list of planned mods from back when I built a hybrid 2.3 L.O. Quad / 2.4 Twin Cam LD9 for my Z-24). I may even just use that engine for the build, leaving me with just needing the five-speed parts... All of my 282 trannies are V-6 bell-housing types.

I would suggest that although true GTZs have a certain cool factor, the Z-26s are still out there, look about the same, and perform very similarly aside from the Quad's extra HP, and that it may be easier to find a nice Z-26 and five-speed swap it than trying to track-down a now-rare GTZ... Just a suggestion.
