Anyone else get the random urge to rip the 5.3 out of a gxp and wedge it into a beretta? Or is just my brain telling me to do this.

I saw somebody on the Facebook group who just bought a FWD 5.3 to swap. Don't think he's actually started it yet though.

I'm doing RWD with my LS swap. More work, but a better functioning car in the end.

What ls family engine. 5.7 5.3 4.8?
I'm still trying to fab parts for suspension, once it warms up I gotta gut the interior and have the glass pulled so I can start the cage install.

I would love to. I'm still pulling hair trying to PROPERLY redo the FWD 4.0L 4-cam V-8 in my Teal Indy though. After that, if I am still alive, I may do the twin-engine push-me-pull-you in the 'old' Z-26... That would tie a neat little bow around the last of my sanity. Maybe a 5.3 FWD WOULD be easier...

Truck LR4 4.8 for the easy RPM. I just grabbed a couple LM7 5.3s to have around since they were a good deal. I'm working on the rear suspension for my RWD swap right now. Bunch of info on my youtube channel link in my sig.

I've searched for 3.8 sc and they are going for the same as the ls4. And since it fits under the hood and between the towers of a GP.. no reason it won't fit in the beretta. They've been dropped into Saturn's and cavaliers, so..it should fit. And..the 5.3 has more availability for harnesses and tuning for stand alone set ups.

The 5.3 itself yes...not so sure about the odd transmission in them though. Exponentially more 3.8s on the road than FWD 5.3s.
