I'll be driving down to Miami during that time frame to check out the Keys and anything else that catches my eye on the way down.
Anyone have any ideas of what's good to hit on the way, when I'm there, and on the way back... My only deadline is I need to be in Miami by Monday night so I'm there for something that my G/F has planned for Tuesday AM... After that I'll be tourist'n and whatnot...

I was thinking about taking the trip to FL soon to see my grandfather before he passes. Unfortunately he is getting worse by the day and I dont know when it's going to be....... God Damn cancer

Good idea, but I think they Key's bridge will over do it ;)
But yes Eric, I may be in that are around then so you may get a call...
I'll be in Miami Beach the 14-15th, and then the 15th we are driving to the keys, and staying there that night, and then possibly heading back up.
Other plans are all tentative, so if I find out more I'll let you know. I may hit up Raleigh to visit my friend Mike

Last time i was in the keys was 86..and it was a crappy trip. I went to a bad area of Key West where i saw what was left of the military base public pool with the classic "No Bathing" all over it.
The weird part going to the southern most point which is not the southern most point that is on the beach.
Find a good hotel resort and stay there. I ran into the disgusting public beach there that smelled like ***.
If i ever go back to florida keys it will be a resort and i will stay intoxicated.

Yeah our plans are to hit a decent resort out on the keys for that evening if we decide to stay... if not they we may just hit another place down in FL on the way back up. Nothing is set in stone yet except for a Monday evening arrival in Miaimi to be there on Tuesday, she's got something planned...
