i found a red gtu that i may be getting shortly... i never realised they only made the gtu's in 89 thats just crazy... the lady told me its one of 300 made, i beg the differ.. anywho does anybody know how many were made? can't find anything on it

I called my buddy dave up at GM and this is what their records say:

1988 - 3,814 GTU Beretta's were produced.
1989 - 9,813 GTU Beretta's were produced.


I hope this beretta I'm getting is an 88 that would be awesome, I have the VIN number if anybody can look it up for me that would be great.

are you serious?  I hope that was sarcasm!  The car is one of 3,814 made.  Any true beretta fan would love to own a car with such rarity.  It is also the first year production.  How could you not see the value in something like that?

Can they take in several different variables to find out how many quazar GTZ's  (quad4 only) were produced in 92 and 93??

I have always wondered how many were made.  if you go by percentage of GTZs made and factor in the total quazar paint jobs in 1992 it comes out to approx 49 quazar quad GTZ's (if everything was equal across the board between all models/engines
