2.2 tbi question/ o2 sensor

.i just did a mini tune up on my 2.2 as i had to drive 700 miles to ole miss..i changed out plugs and put in an new o2 sensor and cleaned the egr......ran fine before i changed the o2..now when you try to take off on a hot start..i hear a poping noise from the throttle body and the the car bogs..if i do a nice and easy slow start,,,the car runs just fine..i reset the ecm after installing the sensor.(.i am thinking i might have got a bad o2 sensor)..when i kick the car into passsing gear it runs great...so im sure in is not a bad injector..any thougts on this would be appreceiated..thanks
