Last Minute Announcements:
1. The most popular form of communication at Bfest is 2-way radio, if you need to know something, turn on the 2-way. This is the primary means of communication! Get a set. They come in the form of Motorola Talkabouts, Cobra Microtalks, and Uniden has some. Any set (2mile or 5mile range) will do. Typically the popular channel is 6. No promises, but 6 I think is what we’ve used most often in the past.
NOTE: PLEASE please please, try to keep irrelevant traffic off of the 2-ways, nothing is worse then trying to provide directions during a caravan, then not being able to because someone’s talking about their ventshades or something. Just use common sense and common courtesy.
2. Registration will be at the hotel. Specific location not yet determined. Possibly a table outside, if permitted by the hotel, or possibly inside in a group room that we have. Just ask the other people with Beretta’s or ask the hotel people.
3. The hotel parking lot. When you enter the hotel, you will see a large main lot and to the back right corner a smaller section. It’s my estimation that the most appropriate place for us to the gather would be in that side lot/corner area. That’s also the area which we most likely won’t be bothered by the hotel employees.
4. Park Directions. I screwed up and forgot to write them up in the craziness of putting some other stuff together. Thanks to Lisa for pointing it out to me! I’m verifying them for accuracy today or tomorrow and will print them up for all, if I can, in time for the fest. If for some reason I can’t, bring a pen or pencil and some paper, the directions are easy, I’ll get as many hardcopies of them as I can. Work wouldn’t appreciate me using 80 sheets of paper for non-work-related purposes.
5. If you need directions (other then the ones provided on paper) or are curious about a particular eating or recreational establishment location, feel free to ask me. Look for the Pennsylvania plate with “GOT Z26â€Â
