Ok guys, i'm pissed, i can't seal my trunk leak!!! I'll tell the story. One day i noticed my back seats were wet and i was cornfused, so i checked my trunk. Not having a functioning lock, i have to crawl through and flip the metal trunk release on the mechanism. This is a pain all the time. Now i get into the trunk and find that one of my sub boxes is about to split from water dammage. I said "that's not good". So i look under my spare tire cover. HOLY SHEIT!!!!!! The spare tire well is COMPLETELY full of water. So i empty my trunk of everything including carpet and get my buddies shop vac to vacuum out my trunk. Well, then i start siliconing all of the joints that were listed to silicone on the wright up so don't even think of linking the thread to it. I  know how to use the search and bla bla bla. Any way, that failed. Now i went and got some spray on rhino liner basically and now i have a rhino lined trunk But i just checked it and it's STILL getting wet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I believe it's comming from above the passenger side tail light, you know, up in a deep dark crevis, it also may be comming in on the driver side next to the tail light and next to that weird rubber wiring harnes that goes some where i can't figure out, Any ideas would be helpful, either that or i'm gona unload two more cans up in that bish and it better d@m be sealed!!!!!!!!

Mine has a water leak in the trunk too, I found that the screws that hold on the rear window trim that joins with the trunk lid are leaking. the water would run along the inside edge of the trunk until it reached the trunk lid supports. the water was everywhere.
check that, what you should also do is just pour water onto your rear window with the trunk open and see if and where it is leaking. that will rule out the trunk seal as the culprit.

Take EVERYTHING out of the trunk and I mean everything...  Speakers, carpet, garbage, shoes, spare tire cover and contents underneath it.  Find a slightly dim work area to put the car (garage with lights able to be shut off, windows able to be covered).  If you dont have fold down backseats then take those out too.  Take some liters of tonic water and pour it on the roof, decklid and all around the trunk area.
Now climb into the vehicle with a black light and look for any visibility of the tonic water.

ya, everyhting is curently out and i have to put my subs in the back seat but ya, I took a garden hose and sat it on my car while the trunk was open and it didn't leak in, i was con fused, so i waited till it rained, that makes it leak. I can try to find a dark enough garage, my only problem is that the only garage i have right now has HUGE crosslaced windows lol. May be do it at night? But like i said, i think it's commin from above my tails because the water only apears in the back except when i take corners fast and then it is all in the spare tire compartment. Arrrggggggg.

It might be the trunk seal itself.

Yep.

Tonic water glows under blacklight. If you got a dark area it will be easy to find the leaks that way.

pull your taillights out and check it out.  they're very easy to remove.

ya, i've pulled them each time i tried to fix it so that they don't get rubberized on there permanently lol    but, ya, i just climbed into my trunk and looked up in the corners. The sealent didn't even get up there    so i sprayed it up in there and it says it dries in 10 min but i call a BS on that one. It still hasn't dried and it's an hr later. Although it does say use in 70 degree and above areas lol, its 45 here in beavercreek ohio. May have somethin to do with it lol. I'm hopin this spray worked and i think my calking job under my ww cowl worked, now my carpet is just damp from left over water from b4 i fixed it. I need to use a dehumidifier and get all that moisture out!!! I hate warter sometimes.

Hey, I had a leak once(lol). Ok, the leak came from the area between the top of the door and the back glass. There was a small black strip that fell out. I took it up to get the back glass resealed and the guy at the shop filled that track with sealer and the leak stopped. On the sealer, I didn't care because the car needed paint and I did plan to clean it out before the paint job. I had to go the JY just to find the strips.

also buddy look at the taillight studs.they have little foam thing on the back of them where they fit tight against the trunk.mine was leaking I replaced them and it quite.also make sure all your taillights are tight and another thing the bottom piece filler panel that says beretta on it also has the foam things on it just like the taillights and the top filler panel is suppost to have some sort of gasket type thing on it.mine was broke and cracked I had to go yarding to find a good one but anyhow I fixed all that and it dosent leak at all now...

No my man, not yet. Had a chance a nice Z-26, but lost it. It has been almost three months and there has been no Berettas within 25 miles of my house. I check online and in the paper everyday. I will check Craig's list. Are you sure the water is going by the tail lights? I forgot to put in my post that the water was driping off the headliner into the rear seat. Also, after the crash I was looking for sockets(my tool box flew apart) and found ice around the spare tire and rust on the big wingnut that holds the tire down. I found two sockets under the cover!

ya there is little foam pieces on the taillights that seal them from moisture etc.also the bottom filler panel is the same way.and the top filler panel has a gasket right on the very top of it to keep out water moisure.you know what im talking about right..!!!
