my buddy has a shifter cable and linkage from a gtz with the quad 4 motor and the getrag transmission. i was wondering if those shifter cables will work with the munice transmission. Because i need to replace mine and i don't feel like going and paying tons of money for new ones. the shifter cables are going into a 1988 Beretta GT with the 2.8l motor with the muncie tranny so if anybody knows anything about this shout me back.

They are the same transmission.  At least from a meachanicals standpoint.  The have different bellhousings and gearing for the engine application but are otherwise the same.
