just bought another beretta .its a 1994 2.2 got it dirt cheap and was wondering they had taken the cat, off and put a pipe in place of it .I had read some where that they need that to run right. it seems to run ok but has a slight miss in it, would the cat. being gone have any thing to do with that? Also it seems to have what sounds like the air condioning pump tryn to frezze up, I 1st thought it was the alternator has it gets very hot but this noise like a bearn frezen up will come on when i turn on the air. does something need oiled?? I have a 89 GT and I bought this 94 for my daughter. any help on this .I would be thankfull for. also it seems to drain the battery really fast if just playing the radio, could it not be hooked up right or something ? Thank You so much for any help on this,

It should run fine without the cat, however it is illegal to not have one. As for the a/c noise, does the sound only happen when the a/c is off?

this sounds happens when ever you turn on the a/c or the heater. like bearings are tryn to frezze up. hate the thought of it being the a/c pump.as they are 290$ .could it be the alternater being under a load?also thank you for the infor. on the cat. will have to get one of them.

That sounds like more of a problem with the blower motor.

where is the blower motor? Isnt that on the fire wall? this noise which is very loud seems to be comeing from the area of the alternator and the a/c pump.
