so i need upper intake and throttle body gaskets but the parts store said dealer only, is that true?

Nope, it's not true. Those 2 gaskets should be cheap as they are paper.
Make sure to ask for the correct year car. If you have a 3400 swap then say 2001 impala with 3.4L. They will look up that car then give you the parts.
Sometimes the throttle body gasket is referenced as carburator gasket....
I take it you have a 3400 in there?

upper intake   #MS16259 48.20 (Plenum gasket not included)
plenum gasket #MS16206 $32.65
tbi gasket   #G31518  $1.24
these are from the Napa I work at in Lynchburg Va.

well i picked the fel-pro kit but i haven't opened it yet. napa here told me they didnt have them. i ended up telling autozone it was an 03 impala. thanks for the help
