Hello. I decied to join this because I happen to have a Beretta GT 1988.

I'm experiencing the SAME thing.

You see. I took out the battery because it pretty much died on me. And so I go to replace it. I pop it in, and seems to work ok.

And now it's just shaking, suttering and stalling on me.

The dude at Brake Masters suggests it could be the timing belt?

I have no idea how much it would cost and if it would fix it. I often wonder if I should just get something new/used/cheap.

NEED HELP!!! >_

When you disconnect the battery you reset the computer system in the car, so now the care needs to get to know itself so to speak. run at an idle and turn the ac on, let the fans kick on and off, then run it through the gears, then turn the ac off and do the same thing. You may not have to do all of that to reprogram your computer, but thats kind of the universal way to do it on all cars.
As for badberetta91 I'd check the ignition module, my 3800 buick had a very similar problem and the ignition module located under the coil pack was the culprat.

Cool! So just let it sit for a bit?
Sounds like a plan. I'll give it a shot!
