okayi just recently had a tune up about 1,500 miles ago on my 93 beretta gt...
anyway, i live in the country but i often go to the city to skateboard. well i went to the city yesterday and at almost every redlight the car kept stalling out and stuff. so i finally i got fed up and pulled over.. the car needed oil but it definately wasn't out.. i put two quarts in then i took off again, it was fine for about 3 blocks and the problems started happening all over again.  while i was sitting in traffic the gages would tell me iwas running pretty hot and the oil was low but then when i started going it would tell me the oilwas high and the carwas cool.  when i got onto the highway the car ran fine like it always does and then when we hit traffic it kept wanting to stall but i would rev my engine to keep it going.. i heard it could be because the distributor cap got wet in the rain (we just had alot and the car sits out)  or it could be a timing belt or maybe the gas station im going to is clogging up my fuel filters.  today i drove around home in the country where i dont have to idle too much and it ran no problem.. just a little hot.   when i got home i let it idle whilei cleaned it out a bit and it was puttering a little but not too bad but the gauges again told me the oilwas low and it was running hot.  
any suggestions? any input is much appreciated.

Hmmmm....

The stalling could be any of many things.  With the recent rain add water in the fuel to the list.

You don't have a distributor cap so it can't be that.

EGR valve, sensors, lots of other stuff can cause the stall.

As for the gage readings....

The oil gage is indicating the pressure, and it should read lower at idle than at speed as the pump is not revved up.  Even just 8 psi is ok on these engines.

The temperature will always rise at idle as the lack of airflow does not provide passive cooling.  The car will heat up until the active cooling (fan) comes on then cool down a bit, causing the fan to shut off, causing the heat to increase.  Only worry about the temperature if it is rising high while driving above about 30mph where your wind thru the radiator is cooling it.

ohh by the way them 2 quarts of oil u though u needed id check ur oil cause i dont think its a good ideal to add to much oil

The same happened to me - I took it to a mechanic and they ran a diagnostic and couldn't find anything wrong - which left me to think that maybe it was something else - turned out to be the shift control relay inside the transmission wasn't working - so when I came to a stop the clutch would not release the gear band keeping it in high gear acting like a standard tranny system without using clutch even though its automatic - replaced the relay works fine - also when that happened the car would start but as soon as I put it in gear it would die, until the engine cooled down.
