does anyone know how to remove the stock shifter know on a automatic 1995 z26. i bought an aftermarket one and would like to put it on.

There's a staple shaped clip that you have to remove from the front side of the shifter with a small screwdriver or something of the like.

Yup, just pop out the "staple" and pull the knob off the shifter.
BUT, dont punch yourself in the face when you do it, and dont whack your mirror!

Better to whack the mirror than something else.
