info(help) for driving issues, and midway point motel, BFEST

google map tells me to go south on I 81 (in New York state), from Canada.
my questions are the following, how do i inquire on the costs of using a toll road? google map informs me of tolls in NY state. are they cash only?
my half way point is approx. Harrisburg, PA. I am willing to stop anywhere from 1 hour north of that point to 1.5 hours south of that point. (anywhere along I 81 south)
for us this is a 2 day drive... so i also need to find a motel that we can crash out in...
possibly you can refer motels/hotels not to stay in....
