I have a 1996 Beretta z26 5-speed with a 2.3 HO engine, I want to swap motors with a 1994 Grand Am that has the same motor but is automatic. What do I have to do to make this work?

If you swapping just motors and not transmissions then all you need to do is strip the GA motor of its brackets and accessories and bolt on the ones that come off of yours.

Now if your wanting to include the transmission in this swap... well um yeah... :burn:

There will be much more work needed, including finding an ECM that wold even run it... not sure if it exists though. 4t45e's were never in Beretta's and IIRC thats whats going to be in the GA

Who put the Quad and 5-speed in your '96 Beretta? What the hell ECU is it running on?

And why would you want an LO Quad?

None of this makes much sense!

check jbody.org as few have done a similar swap over there and/or v6z24.com. but for starters their was no 96 quad z26 they were only made in 94. but to me you best bet would be to get a 91-93 engine and interior harness with the pcm and burned chip from wot-tech.com. but if you wanna utilize the harness in the car you goin to need wiring diagrams and you 'll have to rewire some sensors as i know its not a plug and play deal. and im not entirely sure bout the passenger side mount is the same but you may have to put in another.

best of luck in your venture and be sure to post up your progress
