I think I remember you doing that, it was appreciated. I think there was another member or two that contributed to the found too. I literally tried logging in at work one day and the server could not find the site "Error 404", but I had seen that before. So it took about a week before I decided bstuff was dead, even then I checked back every so often for a few months... Another aspect that sucks was I was in negotiations with a member back East who had a set of Indy wheels and mirrors for me to buy, a family member was going to pick them up for me -the guy's number was lost to me when bstuff crashed and the PMs could no longer be retrieved. I felt bad that I missed the opportunity to get the parts, but even worse that I effectively left the guy hanging. My family member did have the guy's phone number too, but totally dropped the ball for me. Oh well, such is life...SummitBalt08 wrote:I miss the Bstuff days also. Sucks Bstuff had to end the way it did. I myself paid to keep it up for an almost an extra month.
I still don't get what the difference is between Bstuff and Bnet, other than some who have too big of an ego to post on here, Or think if you post off topic stuff in the off topic section that you will get banned... I love myths... it makes other peoples lives more difficult than it really should be.SummitBalt08 wrote:I miss the Bstuff days also. Sucks Bstuff had to end the way it did. There were many people telling others to post some of those good threads over here but as noted some of the authors didn't want to post here, and still don't so unfortunately yeah it was lost. I'm also surprised more people don't curse out who ran Bstuff since they didn't bother to keep anything backed up. They simply didn't care when it got to the last year of it's life.woody90gtz wrote:There were some good threads that were lost into the abyss when bstuff died. But I think Bnet is a little more grown up than bstuff was and that's not a bad thing.
We're getting a little off Hawk's topic here, but yeah, Woody said it about right. From the view on bstuff, this site seemed almost a little bit 'clickish', but bstuff was more volatile and a bit of a 'drama' stage, unfortunately. Yes, there were a lot of good posts there, but it was also more active, there was simply more interaction there than on bnet. Personally, I picked my site, and didn't feel the need to be redundant. Oh well, I had back-ups of my own stuff, until my PC got stolen -that p!$$ed me off.woody90gtz wrote:There were some good threads that were lost into the abyss when bstuff died.
