I am trying to remove the windsheild wiper motor assembly but cannot get the linkage cam off the motor axle nut. I have removed the nut that attaches the linkage cam to the motor but can't get the small cam arm off the thread. Am I missing something?

Try to pry on both sides under the arm where the bolt is. Be careful and don't force it too much. There should be a square hole where the arm sits. You just have to get it past that and it will be free. Move the wiper arms to the halfway point on the windshield to get more room to work. It's just stuck from all of those years of being there. If the motor is bad pry as much as you want. Just work around all sides if you can. Post back when you get it done.

I managed to get the cam arm off by running the wiper motor while applying outward pressure. It just threaded itself off.

Now if I could fix the leak in the body seam.

I got it off by turning the wiper motor on and allowing the cam to thread itself off the post.
I had removed all three of the mounting bolts of the wiper motor which allowed me to keep the post fairly steady.

Cool, good to hear that it's off. I did some work in the cowl area myself and used Eastwoods seam sealer. So far everything is leak free where I did the work. I do have a leak on the passenger side where the wiring harness goes in. Be sure to seal around those areas(driver's and passengers side) too on your car. If your cowl panel has a soft look to it get a green 3M pad and it will take that off.
