Forum Updates

I updated the forum and the database to the newest versions last night. I will be converting all of the old static data over this week and should have all of that up soon.

I have also enabled rss feeds for the site, point your feed app to

Code: Select all

http://www.beretta.net/forum/feed.php
if you want to add it. Right now I only have it pulling from the Announcements and Berettafest sub forums to see how it goes.

If anyone has any suggestions on things to add always feel free to post and send me a pm

Try clearing your cache and temp files. Let me know if that does the trick.

Same, still showing older topics and not the new posts all the time.

you are talking about view active topics right? That doesn't show the newest posts, it shows the active topics over the last couple days, view new posts should be showing that.

I have changed the naming for the cookies, we will see if that resets the info.

you will need to log out and then back in for this to take effect.

Well active topics should still contain the new posts, but it originally was not including them. I'll let you know tomorrow if it's fixed.

I was just about to say that 3X00. I did also check the View new posts and nothing showed up there.

While active topics will contain the new posts, it contains old posts also, and does not clear them when you view them. New posts should only show new posts since your last login, whether you view them or not. Again though, I have made changes to the cookie settings and you should see a difference when you log out and back in. You do need to log out for them to take effect since the session data won't change until then.

Correct, but it was not, there were 3 topics in the "new topics" section and only one of those was showing up in the active topics. Still not working right... I logged in again too since I had not set this computer to automatically log in. I'll go in and back out to be sure though.

Here is an example, I logged back in, No new topics since I already checked them, But I JUST replied to the header topic, yet when I click on active topics I only get this list... The same list from when this went back to phpBB

I also included a list of MY posts to show there were some recents that are not showing up.

Should be working right now, apparently the upgrade dropped the check box from all of the forums to track active topics.

Is the number of posts only going to be in the profile? Just asking. I know there was a problem with this after the change over. I was one of the few that were able to keep the correct number. No big deal, just saw a change.
