Okay here goes nothing,
I have a 1991 Beretta, 3.1 LTR V6 Turbo
my car wont turn over, it trys to but I just get that rrrrrrr sound...(hard to type how it sounds) we pulled the spark plug wires off of the  number 1 plug and we are getting NO FIRE when it trys to turn over. We've pretty much assumed that its the coil messed up but now comes our problem. Where can the coil be located on the car? I've heard back by the firewall then also up by the fan area...I need to find it becuase without this car I'm kinda screwed with working. If anyone can help with this problem I'd love it!

Well Krystie the easiest thing to do is follow your spark plug wires down to the coil. But usually on a '91 3.1 there in the front just below the exhaust mounted to the engine block. May be easyer to get to from underneath. Where in KY  ru at?

The coils have nothing to do with whether the car turns over or not.
That is simply a function of battery and starter.
Start there.

The coil packs should be down by the radiator fan, bolted to the side of the block, unless whomever put the turbo on relocated them.

Best to get someone who knows what they are looking at have a look.

Would assume that she means 'turn over' = 'run/start/fire'.

Anyway sounds like she heading in the right direction with replacing the coils.

Check to see if there is signal to fire the injectors.  If so then check coils and ignition module.  If not then replace crank position sensor or ignition module.
