This is driving me crazy i will drive down the street and my car sputters and dies, i put in a new fuel sending unit and fuel filter and still dies. the O2 sensor is fine and the fuel pressure is a lower than average its at about 35-37 PSI so if anyone could tell me what the problem could be i would appreciate it.

Check voltage at the fuel pump. Sounds like a bad pump power circuit or ground to me thats causing it to run inconsistantly or cut out.

Put a pressure gauge on it and pull the vacume line off the FPR. Does pressure go up?

alright what does it mean if it goes up?

That's normal. But you should be at 43.5 psi if I'm thinking correctly.

When you press the gas, vacume drops off, opening the pressure regulator to keep pressure close to constant as the injectors use more fuel.

yes 43 at WOT, at idle it will be a bit lower if the pressure regulator has a vacuum line connected to it.

well we had a gauge on it this time and pressure stayed constant, it was like a electrical shut off, could it be the ignition module going?

well I just bought a ignition control module and a crank sensor and I am putting them on today so I will see how it goes.

Does the car die when it's hot? or doesn't it matter?

I put a scanner on it and it keeps pulling up code 43 which is the ESC circuit, and I replaced the ignition control module and still get the same code. cant find any loose grounds under the hood, I changed the PCM and it ran, then I put the original PCM back in and it ran, now its back to code 43 and no run.

I think I had that code and it ended up being a problem with the knock sensor.
